Interests
I am a movie junkie, with my current movie collection standing at 521 movies (full feature), and have all said movies stored on my PC for quick and easy access, hence this and my interest in computers has lead me to building my own HTPC (Home Theater Personal Computer)
I also have a passion for gadgets and the Internet, and read copious amounts of online news and tech news, and follow the latest happenings with ISP's with a passion.
Geekzone has been a first reference for for many years now, as a good source of the latest breaking news in the industry, technical help and like minded people with a passion/enthusiasm for all things technical.
Wiki Projects
HTPC nz
I am responsible for setting up this HTPC wiki, due to my interest in movies and computers, and wanting to watch all my movies seamlessly. Having looked at many sites for HTPC information, I found that the information I required to make an informative decision was spread across the net, so I decideded to collate all the required information in one place, the HTPC Wiki.
NZ Connections
I have been involved with NZ Connections since day 1, and as a result of my early involvement am responsible for the general layout/structure of the site, having created the main pages, and created templates for every other page for cosmetic consistency. I was also responsible for the sortable tables found in the providers and comparisons pages, and the code behind the tables, enabling sorting of images, and correctly sorting data while still presenting data in the preferred format (that does not sort properly).
I have contributed most heavily in the area of the Internet providers and their plans/pricing, and comparisons of such.
I am also the contributor of the NZ Connections official logo in the top left corner.
As a result of my heavy contributions and continued support, I was made a 'Sysop', an administrator with moderation and other various system privileges.
